“Absolutely beautiful golf course to play on, it was challenging but not too difficult, you just have to think through every shot. The terrain at back 9 is a bit tricky if you are walking, but going down after the “hike” to the top was the most fun I’ve had golfing in a while.” –Xavier Bergonia
Walter J. Nagorski Golf Course
Walter J. Nagorski Golf Course is a great place for novices to learn the game of golf as well as seasoned players to keep their skills up to date. The lower part of the course (holes 2 and 3) was built on a former emergency airstrip used during World War II in the 1940s. The sign identifying it as Putnam Airfield is still a tribute to the history of the region. “The golf course was excellent with near perfect greens. The fairways are also well maintained and manicured regularly. The Club House is also a great place to host a reception or simply eat. The food is prepared by a very knowledgeable chef who prepares all dishes in a ‘gourmet’ style. Our experience every time we go there is excellent. –Mark Pokraka
