GRANBY — Two Missouri real estate developers are considering buying Granby Ranch.

On Wednesday, April 21, GR Terra and its affiliates entered into an agreement to purchase the ski and golf resort and the associated residential development surrounding it.

According to a press release announcing the sale, Bob and David Glarner, based in St. Louis, are directors of the company.

“We’ve been visiting Granby Ranch for years and really understand just how special the resort and the larger community of Granby really are,” Bob Glarner said in a statement. “We believe there are tremendous opportunities at Granby Ranch, and we are thrilled to have the chance to be associated with one of the great family destinations in the Rockies. »

The sale is expected to close within the next 30 days, but the associated parties declined to disclose financial details of the transaction. The acquisition of Granby Ranch includes all assets associated with winter and summer resort operations as well as adjacent parcels of land.

Subject to closure, GR Terra plans to enter into an agreement with Ridgeline Executive Group, which would continue to manage the resort’s summer and winter operations. Jace Wirth, co-founder of Ridgeline and general manager of the resort, said Ridgeline is excited to move forward with GR Terra.

“We believe the purchase represents a tremendous opportunity to reinvigorate Granby Ranch and enhance the experience for skiers, visitors and owners,” said Wirth.

Touchstone Golf will also continue to manage the Granby Ranch golf course.

The press release states that although the development of Granby Ranch suffered from inconsistent operations and deferred maintenance leading to its lockdown last year, GR Terra is committed to investing the resources necessary to realize the full potential of the development.

According to the Missouri Secretary of State, GR Terra was established on April 12.

The press release said more information would be available after the sale was completed.
