Egypt hosts the 40th Arab Men’s Golf Championship at Dreamland Golf Resort, Cairo

13 Arab golf federations and 45 players will participate in this important regional golf championship.

The countries represented on the pitch are: Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and the host country, Egypt.

The Arab Men’s Golf Championship is played in four rounds, until Wednesday, with the top three scores for each round, from the team of four, counting towards each round’s team score. The individual scores of players from each country are also recognized for individual gold, silver and bronze medals.

The UAE will be represented by number 539 on the R&A’s recently updated World Amateur Golf Ranking, Ahmed Skaik, team captain Khalid Yousuf, Abdulla Al Qubaisi and Obaid Al Heloo.

The UAE team will be joined by: HE Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi (EGF President and AGF President), Adel Zarouni (EGF Vice President and Arab Federation Vice President Golf), General Abdullah Al Hashmi (Vice President of the EGF) and Khalid Mubarak Al Shamsi (Secretary General of the WEF).

It has also just been announced that the 2021 Arab Golf Champion will also receive an invite to the DP World Tour Ras Al Khaimah Championship.

Adel Zarouni said during the announcement: “EGF and AGF are extremely happy to receive this invitation from the DP World Tour. As golf continues to grow in the region, this partnership between the UAE, DP World Tour and the Middle East will push development further for all Arab players. It is an exciting time for all of us in Arab golf and we are looking forward to 2022.”
