Guide to LA Golf Courses

Golf is such a fun sport and something my family and I really enjoy! Both Sophie and Jake have taken golf lessons and golf camps and Kyle and I enjoy spending our afternoons/evenings on the course. It’s always a great time to spend with friends and family outside in the sun. There are many different golf courses in Los Angeles that will make your golf experience great.

Chester Washington Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole course that sits south of the 105 freeway. It has rolling hills, tree-lined fairways, and an incredible atmosphere. It costs $30 to walk and $44 to ride on weekdays and has an average duration of 4.5 hours.

Debell Golf Club is another option located between Burbank’s Starlight Bowl and Wildwood Canyon Park in the Verdugo Hills. This 18-hole course offers valley views, challenging elevation changes and rough Kikuyu grass. There is also the Hilltop Restaurant and Bar which is open daily for breakfast and lunch overlooking the golf course. It also costs $30 to walk and $44 to ride on weekdays. The average tour duration is 4 hours on weekdays and 4.5 hours on weekends.

the Industry Hills Golf Club is a 36-hole course high above Highway 60, with the San Gabriel Mountains in the distance. This golf course has new practice facilities, expanded resort facilities and is a historic site. It is $39 to $110 depending on the day and the duration is 4 to 4.5 hours.

Lakewood Golf Course is an exquisite course on a beautiful lake. It is right next to Long Beach Airport and is considered one of the best golf courses in South Los Angeles. It is an 18-hole course and several par 3s which are played over more than 200 meters. The cost is $30/$40 and a duration of 4-5 hours.

Here are some of the best public golf courses in Los Angeles that will give you a fun and scenic golfing experience. All courses offer lessons and offer different events. For specific events, visit their websites.

These are all open to the public, but there are also excellent private clubs in LA. The Oaks Country Club is a great 18-hole course in Valencia. It offers stunning views of the Santa Clarita Valley and offers great events to attend. These events include family barbecues, seasonal culinary events, themed dinners, holiday celebrations and social gatherings. The Oaks Grille serves great food and wine and offers views of the golf course.

Some more private courses include Los Angeles Country Club, Bel-Air Country Club, MountainGate Country Club, Hillcrest Country Club, and Brentwood Country Club. These luxurious courses would be great clubs to join for a great community, food, golf and more.

Whether you’re looking for a golf course to go to on the weekend or a country club to enjoy the day to day, LA has it all and there are so many options to choose from. If you are looking for a golf outfit, visit L/FRONT for golf shoes, apparel and more!
