One of the best golf courses in the world is right here in New Jersey

Father’s Day is fast approaching. Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 19. Maybe your dad is a golfer and maybe he dreams of playing one of the best golf courses in the world and that’s just down the road here in New Jersey.

Located in Union County, this fabulous golf course is located in Springfield, yes we are talking about Baltusrol/Lower Golf Club. Jack Nicklaus said, “I will always count Baltusrol among my favorite courses – it is certainly one of the best in the world.” Nicklaus should know that he was a two-time US Open champion at Baltusrol in 1967 and 1980.

According to baltusrol website, “Baltusrol has had a long and storied history in golf and has played a prominent role on the national golf scene for 125 years. Founded in 1895 by Louis Keller, the course was first used by Keller and his friends as a country getaway for weekend getaways away from the hustle and bustle of New York City.”

Nationally, in 2023, the Lower hosts the KMPG Women’s PGA Championship. Additionally, the lower course will also serve as the site for the 2029 PGA Championship. So America and the world will once again have their eyes on New Jersey and Baltusrol in the years to come.

Maybe you won’t be able to offer dad a tee time in Baltusrol this weekend, but he can always dream. Maybe get him a nice golf polo shirt for this summer instead? Or maybe a game on a local course this weekend, we have some nice ones here in Ocean, Burlington and Monmouth counties.
